1933 Indian Gum (Goudey)

1933 Indian Gum trading cards were released by Goudey. These non-sports cards were produced from 1933 through 1940 through ten series. In this article, we’ll discuss the cards, provide a checklist, give collector recommendations, provide resources for value and population, provide resources to buy or sell, and more.

A Look at the Cards

Each card measures 2 7/8″ x 2 3/8″.

The front of each card features colorful artwork depicting a person. Usually, it’s of a Native American, but there are other figures as well. At the top, you’ll find the person’s name, while at the bottom you will find that it says, “Indian Chewing Gum”.

The back of each card is fairly basic. At the top, you’ll find the number and title underneath. The majority of the card is dedicated to a description, while you’ll find the set and copyright information at the bottom.

Recommendations

This is a complicated set to collect. There are a lot of cards, a lot of series, and a lot of variations. Some of the later series are rarer and have poorer stock quality, making high grades difficult to find. If you can get your hands on high grade specimens of the mentioned key cards, you could have yourself a great collection.
