Recommendations

As always, I recommend PCGS graded coins. Depending on the type of investor you are or the budget that you have available, I have a few suggestions for you.

Entry Level Collectors

If you don’t have a huge budget, I would suggest you consider the 1919 MS63. Don’t go under MS60. Always keep in mind that the better the coin, the more likely it is to grow in value over time.

Average Collector Considerations for the 1919 Buffalo Nickel Value

If you’re a serious collector but don’t have that millionaire budget, there are a few coins I’d take a look at:

  • 1919 MS66 Buffalo Nickel
  • 1919-D MS64 Buffalo Nickel
  • 1919-S MS63 Buffalo Nickel

If you can afford it, the 1919-S MS65 would be a great coin to have, but may be a little out of some peoples’ budgets.

High End Collectors

High end collectors may consider other coins that are less the norm, but if you are looking for a 1919 Buffalo, here are a few suggestions:

  • 1919 MS67
  • 1919-D MS66
  • 1919-S MS66

Is This a Good Coin for Collectors?

This is one of those coins that you acquire to complete a set. If you’re a high end collector, you could also get a rare coin if you spend on the higher side. The 1919 Buffalo Nickel value might not be worth it if you’re not looking to complete a set.
